Salone del Mobile Milan 2025: dates and tickets

Founded in 1961, over time, the Salone del Mobile has become the leading trade fair event in the furniture and design sector, as well as a showcase for Italian excellence in the field of furniture and accessories. This event provides a comprehensive overview of the world of home living, showcasing all possible styles and serving as a meeting point between business and culture

The Salone del Mobile takes place from 8 to 13 April in the spaces of Fiera Milano, but remember that only Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 April are open to the public, while the previous days are dedicated to operators in the sector. To access, simply buy tickets: these are available both on the official website at a reduced price until 4 April, and during the event itself.

Fuorisalone 2025 Itinerary: events not to be missed

The FuoriSalone takes place at the same time as the Salone Internazionale del Mobile and is the set of events that animate Milan and many of its districts. It was born in the 1980s and over time began to include initiatives related not only to the world of furniture but also to related sectors such as technology, automotive, art, and fashion. What are the dates of the Milan Fuorisalone in 2025? The edition takes place from 7 to 13 April and is entitled Mondi Connessi, a theme designed to celebrate design as an element of connection between different aspects of our lives.

Brera, the Design District

Brera is Milan's artistic district, and during Design Week, it becomes one of the central hubs of the Fuorisalone. The schedule includes over 200 brands with their own showroom and more than 160 temporary exhibitors. Don't miss the Progetto Orizzonti, a design poster that represents the soul of Brera, and the Digital Garden, an installation by American Express that refers to a secret garden in the heart of the district between LED screens, plants and lights.

We suggest you also make a stop at Bamboo Encounters, in the evocative setting of the Cloisters of San Simpliciano: presented by Gucci, it is an exhibition that celebrates the relationship between bamboo and design, contextualising it to the identity of the famous Italian maison.

Cre-Action, the exhibition-event at the Statale in Milan

The spaces of the Statale di Milano host the Cre-Action event exhibition: from 7 to 17 April, many installations will come to life in the spaces of the university and, at the same time, also at the Catholic University and the Botanical Garden of Brera. Creativity and Action are the two main elements of the concept, which is divided into three areas of activity: natural, artificial and collective.

Porta Venezia Design District

The theme of the exhibition at Porta Venezia Design District is No Boundaries Design. To Create, one must first question everything aptly describes this district: inclusive, attentive to young designers, and open to all forms of art. Here is one of the most anticipated exhibitions of the entire FuoriSalone: Making the Invisible Visible, an installation signed by Google that aims to showcase the creative process that transforms ideas into reality.

We also suggest Source of Pleasure by Lavazza, in Piazza del Senato: it is an 18-metre-diameter structure inside which there is a path to explore the universe of coffee through the five senses and discover the identity of the famous brand on the occasion of its 130th anniversary.

Discovering design in Triennale

There are many exhibitions and installations at the Triennale, another district of reference in this special week. Among the main ones is Forme Mobili, the exhibition itinerary of the Italian Design Museum, or John Giorno: a labour of LOVE in collaboration with miart and Fiera Milano. Also of great interest to enthusiasts are the exhibitions and activities curated by ERCO, Emeco, EMERGENCY, JAKUETS, Nest Award, HYLEtech, Wallpaper* and OTW by Vans.

Tortona Design Week

You cannot visit the FuoriSalone in Milan without passing through the area of Tortona, animated by collectives and realities in constant ferment:

●      Tortona Design Week. A kermesse inside the kermesse. Open-air workshops, meetings, events and exhibitions will animate the neighbourhood, transforming it into a real creative hub.

●      Superstudio Più. From 6 to 13 April in Via Tortona 27 you will find a wide range of innovative projects related to the concepts of beauty, sharing and improvement.

●      BASE, the laboratory dedicated to experimentation, is preparing to welcome enthusiasts and designers from schools, institutions and universities within a stimulating climate of exchange.

●      Tortona Rocks. The independent project born in the neighbourhood celebrates its tenth anniversary and launches the Unframed Design format, where creative freedom and sensory experiences dominate.
